We tell stories to remember the past, share with the present and preserve for the future the events which shape our lives. With that in mind, a church approaches storytelling with the same thoughts: We tell stories to help us remember what Jesus has done for us, how that shapes our present and legacy that leaves for the future. Psalm 102:18 tells us, “Let this be recorded for a generation to come, so that a people yet to be created may praise the Lord.”
Storytelling is a form of worship. We need reminders of God’s faithfulness in our lives, as well as the lives around us. To share stories of that faithfulness is one of our goals.
