Scripture tells us we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works He prepared in advance (Ephesians 2:10). Serving isn’t just something we do – it’s part of who we are in Christ. When we volunteer, we step into God’s plan to love others, build up the Church, and be a light in the world. Whether it’s helping behind the scenes or leading on the front lines, every act of service matters and makes a difference.

Common Volunteer Questions
StoneBridge is built on people serving together, and we’re excited to help you find the right place—but we do ask that volunteers have attended regularly for at least six months. This allows time to get connected, understand our mission, and build relationships within the church. Some roles may also require a background check, especially those involving children or students. If you're newer to StoneBridge, we encourage you to join a small group or attend a connection event as a first step toward serving.
No experience is needed! We provide training and support for all volunteer roles to help you succeed. The only exception is for musicians and vocalists, who go through an audition process to join our worship teams.
Each ministry area is different, but for the most part, commitments are once or twice a month during one service.
Just let us know as soon as possible, so we can arrange coverage or reschedule.
At StoneBridge Church, we prioritize creating a safe environment for children, students, and adults. All staff and regular volunteers working with children complete four key safety steps: a thorough screening process (including six months of participation, application, references, and interview), a background check tailored to their role, sexual abuse awareness training, and adherence to ministry-specific policies and procedures. Each ministry that serves those under 18 follows these safety guidelines and is regularly monitored by designated staff to ensure ongoing compliance and protection.

Creative Arts
Camera Operator
As a camera operator, you get to help enhance the worship experience by bringing the service into the homes of those watching via live stream as well as help engage the members attending in-person. We have five camera operators needed each Sunday.
Lightboard Operator
As a lightboard operator, your primary job is to transition pre-programmed light scenes as the service progresses. This is a great position if you enjoy working behind the scenes to create environments that help enhance the worship experience.
Teleprompter
Working the teleprompter is a fun position that helps the worship leaders know where they are in a worship song and provide lyrics for the congregation to sing along. If you like working behind the scenes and enjoy worship music this is a great volunteer position for you!
Musicians
Our worship band plays both services and rehearse Sunday mornings before the services. There is an audition process to join the band. Submit the form below and we will send information on how to audtion.
Vocals

Guest Services
Greeting Team
Our Greeting Team helps create a warm, welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors. If you enjoy making people feel at home with a smile and a handshake, this could be a great fit!
Welcome Team
Our Welcome Team greets new families and helps them get checked in and settled. It’s a key role in making first-time guests feel comfortable and cared for.
Ushering Team
Our ushers help guests find seats, answer questions, and create a smooth, welcoming experience during the service. They play a key role in making sure everyone feels comfortable and cared for from the moment they walk in. If you’re someone who enjoys being helpful and making people feel at ease, this is a great spot for you!
Café Team
Love coffee and conversation? Our Café Team serves up scones, drinks, and smiles in a fun, upbeat environment where people naturally connect. If you enjoy meeting new people, chatting with familiar faces, and adding a little joy to someone’s morning, this is the perfect place to serve!
Next Gen
Greeters / Check-in
Preschool & Children’s Ministry
Our greeting team helps welcome families and their kids to the Stoneshire. They are responsible for checking in the kids and showing them to the right classrooms. This is a twice-a-month commitment, supporting only one worship service.
Classroom Teachers
Preschool & Children’s Ministry
Our classroom teachers help take the message of the main group time and make it applicable to the specific grades. The lessons and games are all planned and prepare ahead of time. No additional prep time is needed for our teachers. This is a twice-a-month commitment serving just one service time.
Group Leaders
Middle School Minstry
Group leaders in the middle school ministry (5th & 6th Grade) are a vital part of Sunday morning for our 5th and 6th graders. Are the main lesson and games, the small group time helps the students unpack the message and talk through how they can apply it to their week. This is a once-a-month commitment supporting one service time with the occasional twice-a-month need.

Student Ministry
Group leaders in the Jr. High Sunday Service help the 7th and 8th grade student unpack what was talked about in the main message. It’s a great chance for each grade to grow stronger friendships with their peers and the group leaders are vital for that to happen! This is a twice a month commitment at the 11:05am service hour.
Special Needs
Masterpiece Ministry Special Needs Class
Masterpiece ministry gives parents of special needs children the ability to worship while their kids participate in ability-specific groups where the curriculum is sensory-driven and is modified from the Children’s Ministry lesson taught that day. Volunteers assist our teachers by hanging out with the kids and helping with various activities.
