Join a Volunteer Team
We are organizing in advance so we can be prepared to serve our church body and our community should the current Covid-19 virus cause a health and economic crisis in our community.
Would you like to be a part of our various Volunteer Teams?
As individuals and families experience everything from fear, illness, financial loss to a host of other things that come when times are so uncertain as to what the future holds. Many times individuals will not know what to pray but they know they want to pray and they want someone to pray with them and for them and for their loved ones. This Team does exactly that, as it reaches out to those who have cried out for prayer as they lift them up. Sometimes over the phone, sometimes at home alone, sometimes in a text, sometimes in a card sent to their home, but regardless of the way, they are always lifted up to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
During this time it is so easy for individuals and families to feel isolated, especially if they are without a large and close knit family unit that lives nearby. Our Care Team Members understand how isolating this current crisis can be and are committed to reaching out to individuals and families who have lost their sense of community through the need to social distance. Through phone calls, video chats, and texts our Care Team Members provide the friendly face or voice others need to stay connected and emotionally healthy during this time.
Some individuals or families during this crisis may not only find themselves feeling unsafe to go out in public, but may also find they are unable to navigate the online world to take care of their basic shopping needs. In this case our Shopping Team does not mind venturing out into the grocery stores on their behalf. Team members are provided with a Prepaid Credit Card and the list of items needed, then sent out to shop. Team members then deliver the purchased goods to the home owner. For corona-free households our shopping team will utilize our church Credit Card Payment system. For quarantined households financial decisions and payments will be handled through our Finance Team or Church Business Office.
By signing up to be on this team, you desire not only to give one time, but you want to be made aware of other needs should they arise in the future and you know God has gifted you financially to be able to be a blessing to others in need.

Social distancing can cause many of us to fall into depression. For others of us, the word pandemic causes anxiety and fear to rise within us just at the mention of the name. Some of the feelings can be normal and even healthy, but for some of us, the depression and anxiety is more than we can take. If you know the fear, anxiety or depression that you are experiencing is not healthy for you or your loved ones, we want to help. We are offering free counseling during this crisis with our in-house counselor.
Cindy Morris is offering free online crisis counseling for stress and anxiety during Covid-19. Email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please feel free to give her contact information to anyone you come across who may be struggling and would like someone to talk things out with.
