As a remarried/blended family, you undoubtedly face unique challenges that you may not have expected and consequently weren’t prepared to tackle. The level of complexity of a blended family dynamic can be overwhelming. These issues can frustrate your marriage, your parenting and your step-parenting. Fortunately, these challenges are common to blended families and you can learn a great deal from others who are working through them or have overcome them.

Family Life Blended Ministry

Much of what we do here at StoneBridge is inspired by the Blended Families ministry at Family Life.  Familylifeblended.com

About Us

Brianne and I have been married for almost 9 years. We are a blended family, meaning we are remarried and have children from a previous marriage. Successfully blending a family torn apart by divorce is extremely difficult as there are so many complications and hurdles to overcome. We started coming to StoneBridge in the midst of this reality. We joined a small group where we felt we could open up about who we were; essentially shedding the veil that was hiding our blended family status.

After encouragement from fellow church members, we took a leap of faith and started a blended family-focused small group. Having never led a small group before, it was daunting at first but we now see God’s impact; what was once a ‘small’ group has grown into quite a large group over the past five years which has now grown even further creating a dedicated ministry within StoneBridge.

It is evident that redemption from life’s failures is what the Lord provides us and we are blessed to be in a community that supports families seeking to reassemble the broken pieces that can be left following divorce. We believe that God has so much more planned for families just like us, seeking His help through a variety of challenges. We are passionate about helping other blendeds, which is proof of how God can turn your life’s biggest failures into a ministry for the good of others.”
