In case you couldn’t tell from all the commercials for TurboTax and H&R Block, it’s tax season. Gross. Much like bills in the mail, I would like to think that if I ignore them or don’t check my box….they’ll just go away. If I stay in denial about filing my taxes, they will go away … right?

Not even close.

I know, you’re wondering where I’m going with this. Well, as adults we have certain obligations we must fulfill:   doing the dishes, laundry, providing, and even taxes. As Christians we have obligations as well: love, spread the gospel, spend time with God.

I feel like “obligation” has a negative connotation so let’s replace this word with “activities”. You know, that really makes everything in those lists seem a lot more fun. Maybe the adult responsibilities still don’t sound awesome but they seem better and our responsibilities as Christians…they look like fun. Sometimes we just need to change our attitude, refresh our minds towards a subject and keep going.

It’s not always easy but it’s always worth it.

Galatians 6:9

Let us not become  weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
