@matt_papa: the most important & helpful tool the worship leader carries onto the stage is not talent or skill but a terrifying staggering vision of God.

I’ve been a worship pastor a long time. I’ve worked at becoming skillful in leading worship and leading a team. I believe we should be skillful as worship leaders. Psalms 33:3 says, “Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.”

However, I hope my growth will be greatest in my knowledge of God Himself. To know God more and to make Him known.

In Isaiah 40:12 it says about God,
“Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand,
or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens?”

Have you been to the ocean lately? I always feel the same thing when I go to the beach. I look out and think, “Wow,” that’s big!!!

Have you washed your hand’s lately? (I hope so, it’s flu season.) Cup your hands and hold a bit of water in your palm.

Now think about God’s hand holding all the ocean’s water in His palm. Now that’s big. (understatement)

Job 11:7-9
“Can you fathom the mysteries of God?
Can you probe the limits of the Almighty?
They are higher than the heavens above—what can you do?
They are deeper than the depths below —what can you know?
Their measure is longer than the earth
and wider than the sea.

Today may our view of God expand.
For Our God is an Awesome God!!!
