Who is greatest?

Matthew 18:1
The Greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven

Jesus then taught them the equation.

Matthew 18:4-5
Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child < is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.

Pastor Steve taught on how when we realize God is greater than all our fears and when He takes His rightful place as greater than everything in life, all is changed for the best.

I believe that equation is indeed, the equation of the Kingdom of Heaven. Both with God and with people. I believe our own contentment, passion and joy flow out of a God given, Christ filled humility.

Mark 10:43-45
Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among < you must be your servant,

44 and whoever wants to be first < must be slave of all.

45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served,< but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

1 Corinthians 10:24
24 No one should seek their own good,< but the good of others.

Philippians 2:3
3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. < Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,

To serve the needs of “the least of these” is to serve Christ Himself.

Matthew 25:40
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, < you did for me. ’

Paul knew something about this equation.

Ephesians 3:8
Although I am less than the least < of all the Lord’s people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ,

With Paul, I am Very Happy this Monday to be among the least in the Kingdom.
