John Ortberg writes,

“Here’s the good news: When you flourish, you become more you. You become more that person God had in mind when he thought you up. You don’t become holier. You become you-ier.
God wants to redeem you, not exchange you.”

The only way we can really be ourselves,
the only way we can really be fulfilled,

The only One who can rightfully judge us, has chosen to redeem us instead.

So when we follow Christ with all our heart, we are most true to who we really are.

And when we follow the Lie, we deceive ourselves into being something we are not.

Ephesians 4:23-24
