I keep expecting all my personal relationships to always be conflict free and convenient. First, I don’t know why I expect that and second, it never happens that way.
The one creature on this earth who loves me completely unconditionally, even he costs me sleep, and regularly interrupts my business and social plans. He, of course, is my dog, Bravo. So even that relationship is built on inconvenience and sacrifice.
I guess the question I need to ask myself about relationships should be, Are they worth It?
Are they worth it?
There was One who thought so. And I am so glad He did, because I was included in that company.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
So what is our response?
1 Thessalonians 4:9
Now about your love for one another we do not need to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love each other.
So let’s love each other. Is it costly? Is it messy?
Yes. But it is worth it.
