While generals and journalists talk about politics and policy in Iraq, Preemptive Love is serving people: women, children and the elderly. Preemptive Love is on the ground providing relief for the persecuted, the displaced and for the orphaned children in Iraq.
Hundreds of thousands of women, children, and elderly have been forced from their homes. Because they are Christians. Because they are Kurds. Because they are Yazidis, Turkmen, Arabs and others outside of the current establishment. Many of the displaced locals seeking shelter in camps – in what are known as Iraq’s “disputed territories” – have found they cannot leave camps to get warm blankets, medicine or extra food. They say that the camp authorities fear that if they stay in the area, they could tilt the population and political balance in Baghdad’s favor.
