Q. What's NEXT at StoneBridge?
NEXT is not a new building campaign... NEXT is a VISION and a PROCESS.
A VISION
Imagine a preschool and children's building - 35,000 sq. ft. - designed to provide a completely unique environment for children to not only hear, but experience up close the life-changing stories of God.
A PROCESS TOGETHER
1. Pray together for God's wisdom.
2. Complete an SB "Fitness Questionnaire" this month.
3. Join an SB "fitness group" in January.
4. Ask God, "What do I need to do to prepare for God to use me?"
Q. Why a children's building?
As StoneBridge has grown we have always held a priority on the next generation. The part of our SB campus that stays filled to capacity is the children and preschool area. We still have room to grow in our worship area, parking lots and student building. As we make room for more children, their families will be connected also. We believe the most strategic facilities to build would be for our children.
Q. Where would a new building be located?
Following our Masterplan, the new building will extend beyond the east doors (just past Level One restrooms). See the sitemap online. Q. What is the estimated cost? Our architect and contractors are estimating up to $7million, but building costs are constantly changing and we will have a better estimate at the start of the campaign.
Q. When will we begin a campaign and start building?
This is the big question… we want to take several months to pray and prepare together for this project. The preparation process will include everyone completing what we’ll call “SB fitness questionnaires.” These questions are designed to help you and your family determine what areas in your spiritual, relational and financial worlds that need help and attention. In January we will offer some “fitness groups’ (classes, small groups and more) to help you with parenting, financial, marriage and spiritual growth.
Our goal… become more fit and prepared for what God has in store for our church and for each person. Because our first and foremost mission is to lead everyone into a real, healthy, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. So the earliest we would start a campaign would be Sping 2010.
Q. When and how can we give now?
If you are ready to give to this future vision, we can receive gifts before the end of the year through our office on online. Contact Julie at the SB office—281-363-9292.
Q. What are the indoor trees and structures made of?
We are using kid friendly materials that are durable and soft to accommodate lots of play and activity. The designer is Bruce Berry of Wacky World. You can look at his incredible work @ www.wackyworld.tv.
