Seeking God's Presence

You know that feeling you get when you are just immersed in worship? That feeling that God is actually standing next to you? In that moment His presence is so painfully obvious you want to hold on to that feeling forever.
Good news and bad news.
Good news: God is always with us. He is ever present: all the time, everywhere.
Bad news: We get distracted and don't realize that He is with us.

It's easy to find yourself (myself included) striving for that worship moment when you feel, emotionally, like God is really moving. That's not a bad thing! We just have to remember that even when we don't feel like that, running errands or doing chores, God is still there. We get distracted by things that keep us from seeing the glory of His presence all around us at all times. That's why Psalm 105:4 says "Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always."

When you are seeking something you have an intense focus and a goal. If God is our goal, our focus, how can we not recognize His presence?

This week as we once more sing One Thing Remains, our verse to meditate upon will be
1 Corinthians 13:7-8
7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails...

Seeking His presence,
