During indie we discussed that, although we as Christians need to meet together, we can’t just stay in our “Holy huddle” and isolate ourselves from all non-believers. We need to go out into the fields and work! But we aren’t all equipped to be missionaries or pastors or worship leaders. We, the indie group, ended up speaking what we felt were the gifts God had given to all our different members. There was such diversity; evangelism, discipleship, nurturing, fellowship, providing, action, the list goes on. We are all created for a different purpose
1 Corinthians 12:4-7
there are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.
Chapter 12 goes on to talk about different spiritual gifts and I have to stop myself from just pasting the entire chapter here but I will let you read through it on your own.
We come together to refresh our souls, and renew our spirits for the work we are called to go out and do.
1 Peter 4:10
Each of you should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.
