Our granddaughter Melody Ruth was born Friday morning. She weighed 7lbs and 11 oz and was 19 and 3/4 inches long. She and her Mom, Katy Ruth are doing very well. Jane and I are thrilled.

It was a miraculous time.

However, there were a few moments were we became a bit nervous. During that time, I read aloud a message our daughter had recently sent me.

It read, “Ha! Yes who is like our God??? He can so handle this, but I think the enemy is not excited about all our joy and hope and how the Lord is growing us all. He wants us to focus on anxiety and worry, not Jesus and His power, blessing and this miracle He is bringing.”

So while we were being anxious for our daughter, she was encouraging us with her words. I never had another anxious thought that morning. And not too long after that, our precious Melody was born.

All the nurses have remarked, that she had an unusually loud cry. As an entire family of singers, that made all of us very proud!!!

With great joy,

Grandpa Joe
