Todays title is a quote from my dear friend and coworker Nancy Willis.

This morning we were celebrating the contribution to the worship from the children’s choir. Their singing on “Children of God” and “Indescribable” really made the Mother’s Day service special.

Add to that the baby dedications by so many young families and I could just hear Jesus’ saying, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these”

Jesus also said,“Don’t you know that the scriptures say, ‘Children and infants will sing His praises’? Matthew 21:16

Jesus is referencing Psalm 8:2. "You have taught children and nursing infants to give you praise.”

Jesus later holds children up as models on how we all should worship God, when He says, “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:13

Trust. Children have it. They simply believe.

Must we become simpletons to worship. Certainly not. We are to worship God with All our mind…..but it is a gift to simply trust. Children get that……..easily.

Unlike many adults Facebook status I see, relationships aren’t complicated for children. They simply trust…….simply believe……simply love…..simply worship.

Keeping it simple,

Joe
